Updated July 13, 2021:

Now that outdoor fitness is back, here’s how to prepare for your next visit.

  • Mask policy while inside our health & fitness centres:
    • When indoors, all members, volunteers and staff must wear a mask (that covers/fits their chin, nose, and mouth) in our Health & Fitness centres at all times, including while working out.
  • Mask policy while participating in outdoor activities:
    • When outdoors, members must wear a mask (that covers/fits their chin, nose, and mouth) when they are being screened, gathering their equipment, setting up, disinfecting their equipment, moving throughout the outdoor space, etc.
    • Members may remove their mask once in their designated 10 x 10 foot square while they are exercising.
  • We ask that all staff, volunteers, and members where a mask that satisfies the criteria below:
    • Masks should fit securely to the head with either ties or ear loops
    • Masks should be made of at least two layers of tightly woven material (such as cotton or linen). It is recommended that masks have two layers plus a filtration layer in the middle.
    • Masks should be large enough to completely and comfortably cover the nose and mouth without gaping.
    • Masks with ventilators/exhalation valves will not be permitted; these masks do not protect others from COVID-19 or limit the spread of the virus.

* We are reviewing provincial guidelines as well as local health region recommendations closely over the next couple of weeks and will update our mask policy in the future if we feel it safe to do so.

We have updated our COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement Policy. Please click here to learn more.

We will be strictly adhering to the following safety precautions so that you can work out as safely as possible while still getting the great exercise and interaction that you love.

  • Class participants and staff must wear masks at all times.
  • Participants will be spaced 3 metres apart from one another.
  • All participants must pre-register through the app.
  • Spectators are not permitted at this time, with the exception of members under the age of 18 who may be accompanied by one parent or guardian.
  • Equipment has been spaced at least 3 metres apart.
  • We have capped the number of members in our centres at any given time. Members must book a time in advance of their visit.
  • Only dry areas of locker rooms are available at the moment and usage will be modified to promote physical distancing.
  • We have clear markings on the floors which indicate how far you need to be from others at any given time.
  • Areas in our facilities that don’t allow for physical distancing will remain temporarily closed.
  • You’ll see our staff in personal protective equipment at all times.
  • All members should be wiping down equipment and workout spaces before and after use.
  • Our staff will be consistently disinfecting high touch surface areas, and cleaning continuously throughout the day.
  • Increase in signage to remind everyone to wash and sanitize their hands regularly.
  • Disinfectant wipes are readily available throughout the building.
  • Do not share work out areas or equipment with others or use more than one piece of equipment at a time.
  • There will be a limited amount of equipment available during Group Fitness Classes and no equipment will be available to borrow for the time being.
  • At this time, only members 10 years of age and over are able to access our Health and Fitness centres. This is only a temporary measure and we are working towards welcoming all of our members back into the centres soon.
  • Each member, volunteer, and staff will be screened before they enter.
  • As always, our staff are here to help you through these safety measures. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask a member of our team.
  • Use disinfectant wipes which are available throughout the building to wipe down equipment before and after you use it.
  • Follow the signs. It’s the pre-COVID equivalent of running in the designated direction on the track, or respecting “out of order” signs. Now, we’ve set up wayfinding to help you move through the centre with plenty of space (e.g., designated entrances and exits to enable one-way traffic flow). All you have to do is follow along.
  • Wash your hands often and use the hand sanitizer we’ve provided throughout the building.
  • When you arrive, please wait for a staff member to check you in and conduct a brief screening.
  • Do not move equipment. We’ve set it up to ensure you have plenty of space to easily keep your physical distance from other members.
  • Do not share work out areas or equipment with others or use more than one piece of equipment at a time.
  • When your workout time has ended, please exit the building so that others may use their scheduled workout time safely.
