FREE YMCA Camp Day in the City

On August 15, 2020, you’re invited to come camping with us — at home!

YMCA Camp Day in the city. It's your time to shine.

Camp out with us!

YMCA Camp Day in the City is our way of bringing summer camp to you. Our camp counsellors and child care experts planned the ultimate camping trip for your whole family — and they’re putting it all online so you can camp out from your backyard (or balcony, or living room…you get the idea). Here’s how it works:

1. Check out your camp itinerary
Scroll on down to see the complete list of activities planned for YMCA Camp Day in the City.

2. Choose your own adventure
Some activities will be livestreamed on our YMCA GTA Facebook page. When it’s time, visit the page and click on the live video feed. Between livestreams, camp out DIY-style. Our staff have recorded how-to videos or written step-by-step instructions to guide you. They’re already posted, so all you advance planners out there can browse and choose the ones you want to try!

3. Get your “camping gear” ready
To participate fully in some of the day’s activities, you’ll need a few things (like arts and crafts supplies, and s’mores ingredients). Use this checklist to help you get ready for the activities you want to join.

  • YMCA Camp Day in the City is totally free and everyone is invited! No need to sign up in advance.
  • YMCA Camp is fun for everyone, but some of our activities are designed for children of specific ages. Pick and choose the ones you think will work best for your family.
